Altered Muffin Tin

I've seen a few muffin tins turned bird's nests on-line of late, and since my living room is done in a bird theme I thought it would be fun to try making one myself.  Can you believe that the very day I decided to shop for an old muffin tin (at the thrift store) I found one for $1?!  I can't --- it usually takes me a while to find what I'm looking for!
I started by hot gluing a small "nest" of raffia ribbon in the bottom of each cup.
For the eggs I took regular plastic Easter eggs and covered them with fabric strips.
The paper eggs and bird nest images are from the Graphics Fairy. The circular ones were cut with a 2 inch circle punch and layered on a coordinating piece of cardstock cut with the scallop circle nestabilities.
I also made three little paper birds to sit on three nests.  There are 3 fabric covered eggs, 3 paper eggs, 3 birds, and 3 circular nest pictures.
I started to make it something to hang on the wall - that's why you see a knotted ribbon at the top - then I got the "bright idea" to use a stand and add it to my coffee table decor.  I left the ribbon on as I like it and who knows it may end up hanging on a wall yet (as much as I change things around!!!).
