Shadow Stamping

First time to using the shadow stamping technique. I love how it makes the horse look like it's actually running.
I had a LOT of fun making the old barn wood background based on this tutorial from Kittie Kraft.
Since don't own crackle paint, I used this DIY tutorial (from Stamping with a Vengeance)  for that step.

Supplies used: Horses (Inkadinkado), Cardboard, Elmer's Glue, Brown/Cream Craft Paint, Twine, Blending Tool (Tim Holtz)

Canvas Noah's Ark Playset (revisited)

If you've followed me for a while you'll remember the Noah's ark playset I made out of canvas last July.
I just finished making another one (for my great nephew), with a few changes.
Change #1
I colored everything with my Prismacolor pencils (instead of markers), and lightly sprayed on a clear sealer.
Change #2
I used canvas on the back as well as the front (instead of flannel).
Change #3
I used Heat n' Bond to layer the animals.
The edges turned out smoother and it eliminated the tedious sewing.

Mini Paper Dolls

Three little Altoid tins altered to hold three sets of mini paper dolls.
I covered the backs with plain cardstock in matching colors.
Each tin has approximately 31 dolls and..
...clothes to color, cut out, and paste on the dolls.
Dolls from Skip to My Lou
Dresses from Fantastic Find (1/2 way down the page)

I had printed the dolls first thinking I'd attach fabric, paper, ribbon to decorate them with. Then I got the "brilliant" idea to print clothes to color and paste on (easier for littler ones), so I had to resize everything. Next time I will print dolls and clothes that actually go together to save myself the "headache."
Here are some links for those kind:

Canvas Canning Jar Hello

I thought the Mod Squad (Love That Texture) Challenge looked like a lot of fun, and got my card(s) done "just in the nick of time!"
For my texture, I found a Ball canning jar image online and printed it out on a piece of canvas.
I added some baker's twine and a button to the lid of the jar.
Two small banners and a sentiment complete my clean and simple card.

Tucked inside is an mini envelope with a cash appreciation gift and...
